The RBA dropped the cash rate in May 2025, will Tiimely Own drop its variable rates?

The RBA dropped the cash rate, and we’re passing it on. From 6 June 2025, Tiimely Own's variable rates will decrease by 0.25% p.a. for new and existing customers.

Here are a few other burning questions you might have, answered.

If I submit now and my Tiimely Own home loan is approved before the rate drop, will I still get a lower rate?

Yes - if your loan settles before the drop, you’ll still benefit. We'll automatically pass on the rate change to your loan when it takes effect.

Should I wait to lock in the lower rate?

There’s no need to delay. Your rate will update automatically when the drop takes effect – and you can start enjoying your new home (and your savings) sooner.

Is there a risk I’ll miss out on the lower rate if I apply too early?

No – timing your application early gives us time to process and approve it, and the rate you receive at settlement will reflect the new lower rate (if applicable).

Will I be locked into the current rate if I apply now?

Not at all. Our variable rate updates automatically at settlement. Applying now simply gets the process started – you'll benefit from any rate changes that occur before your loan settles.

Legal information about our rates
Our home loans are subject to credit criteria and eligibility requirements. Home loan interest rates are for new customers only and can change. Our comparison rates are based on a $150,000 loan amount over a 25 year term. They factor in fees associated with applying for the loan; ongoing fees and fees associated with leaving the loan. Our fixed loans roll to a variable principal and interest rate at the end of the fixed term. If the interest only period is not specified, the comparison rate is calculated on a one year period. WARNING: The comparison rates are true only for the examples given and may not include all fees and charges. Different terms, fees or other loan amounts might result in a different comparison rate.
